Brevo Integration Overview
Want to join Brevo? Sign up for a Brevo account.
Need to log in? Log in to Brevo.
The Members One Brevo integration allows you to sync your customers and members into specific lists within Brevo, enabling you to send targeted marketing emails.
Each club and loyalty discount automatically creates a specific list and updates the contacts whenever a member joins or leaves a club or loyalty tier.
If you want to sync WooCommerce customers, products, and sales information, we recommend using the official WooCommerce Brevo integration. Follow Brevo’s guide to installing and setting up the WooCommerce plugin.
How to Connect Members One to Brevo
To connect Members One to Brevo, follow the steps below.
Step 1: Log in to your Brevo account, click your account name in the top right-hand corner, then select Account Settings > SMTP & API.
Alternatively, once logged in, go straight to your Brevo API keys settings and proceed to step 3.
Step 2: Navigate to API Keys & MCP, then select Generate a new API key.
Step 3: Enter a name for your new API key (we recommend “Members One”).
Step 4: Copy your API key (keep it secure; it won’t be shown again).
Step 5: Go to Members One > Integrations > Connections > Email Marketing > Brevo. Paste your API key into the API field and click Connect.
Congratulations! Your Members One vendor panel is now connected to Brevo, and new members will start syncing to your lists shortly.
Managing Clubs & Loyalty Discounts in Brevo
Once connected, Members One will automatically create and manage lists for your clubs and loyalty tiers.
- Each club or loyalty tier will create a folder in Brevo.
- Inside that folder, two lists will be generated:
- Active – For current members
- Cancelled – For former members
This setup allows you to email the appropriate members and send marketing materials efficiently.
Please note: Contacts and lists are created or updated daily. If you have connected Brevo and don’t see your list, please wait 24 hours.
Resyncing Your Contacts
New members sync to Brevo automatically, but if you have just connected Brevo, or you have deleted lists in Brevo and want to rebuild them, you can trigger a full resync yourself.
Go to Members One > Integrations > Connections > Email Marketing > Brevo and click Resync Contacts. Members One backfills your existing customers and members into their club lists, loyalty tier lists and contact type lists. Any list or folder that was deleted in Brevo is recreated in the process.
Please note: The Resync Contacts button is only available once Brevo is connected and activated. Contacts sync in the background, so allow a short while for larger accounts to finish.
Contact Types in Brevo
Contact types can sync to Brevo as their own lists. When you enable Sync to email marketing (Brevo, Mailchimp, Klaviyo) on a contact type, the members assigned that type are added to a matching list in Brevo, so you can email them alongside your club and loyalty lists.
To learn how to create and manage contact types, see the Contact Types article.
Sending Domain Authentication
Members One sends your customer emails, such as order and refund notices, from your own domain. For inboxes like Outlook, Gmail and Yahoo to trust these emails, your domain needs to be authenticated. When it is not, some providers may reject your emails, so authenticating your domain gives you better deliverability and keeps your emails coming from your own address.
Step 1: Go to Settings > System Settings > Email Settings and find the Sending Domain Authentication section. It shows your sending domain (taken from your From Email) along with its current status.
Step 2: Check the status shown next to your domain:
- Verified means your domain is authenticated and your emails are signed correctly. No further action is needed.
- Not verified means the domain still needs DNS records added. Continue to Step 3.
- Free email provider means your From Email uses a free address (such as Gmail or Outlook), which cannot be authenticated. Change your From Email above to an address at a domain you own, then verify it here.
- Not set up means no From Email has been saved yet. Save your From Email first, then return here.
Step 3: When your domain shows Not verified, click Get DNS records (or View DNS records if you have started before). A window titled Authenticate your domain lists the records you need to add, each with a Type, Host / Name and Value.
Step 4: Add these records at your DNS host, where your domain is managed. Use the copy icon next to each value so you paste it exactly.
Step 5: Once the records are live, return to the window and click Verify. DNS changes can take up to 24 to 48 hours to take effect, so if your domain is not detected straight away, wait a little and verify again.
Congratulations! When your domain is authenticated, the status changes to Verified and your customer emails will send from your own domain with the correct signing.
