How to connect your Shopify store?

To connect your Shopify store, install the Members One app from the Shopify App Store, then finish connecting in your Vendor Panel > Integrations > Connections > Ecommerce > Shopify.

Connecting Shopify lets Members One and your store share the information that keeps your clubs running. Once connected, your customers, products, membership discounts and loyalty tiers stay in sync, and member discounts are automatically applied at checkout using Shopify Functions. Your subscription clubs are mapped to Shopify selling plans, so recurring orders line up with the schedules you have set.

The connection starts on Shopify's side. When you install the app, Shopify sends you back to your Members One Vendor Panel with your store details already filled in, so there is no need to type your store address by hand.

Before You Begin

What you will need

  • A Shopify store you own or manage.
  • Access to your Members One Vendor Panel. To log in, click here.

Please note: The Shopify integration is currently marked BETA in the Vendor Panel. If you signed up through the Shopify App Store, your Members One plan is billed through Shopify's own App Pricing, and you will choose a plan on Shopify as part of setting up your account.

Connect Your Store

Step 1: Install Members One from the Shopify App Store

  • Open the Members One listing on the Shopify App Store and select Add app to begin the install on your store.
  • If you are already in the Vendor Panel, go to Integrations > Connections > Ecommerce > Shopify and select Get Members One on the Shopify App Store to reach the listing.
  • After installing, Shopify redirects you back to the Members One Vendor Panel with your store domain already provided.

Step 2: Activate the integration and select Connect

  • Go to Integrations > Connections and select the Ecommerce tab, then the Shopify section.
  • Your Store Domain is shown, provided by Shopify during installation.
  • Turn on the Activate switch at the top of the Shopify card.
  • Select Connect. A new tab opens on Shopify's authorisation screen.

Step 3: Approve access on Shopify

  • On the Shopify screen, review the access Members One is requesting and approve it.
  • Once you approve, the tab closes automatically and returns you to the Vendor Panel.
  • The Members One panel checks the connection for you and updates the Connection Status to Connected when it is finished. This usually takes a few moments.

Congratulations! You have successfully connected your Shopify store to Members One. Your customers, products, membership discounts and loyalty tiers will now stay in sync, and member pricing is applied at your Shopify checkout automatically.

What Syncs After Connecting

Automatic Synchronisation

  • Once connected and active, Members One keeps your data in step with Shopify in the background. This means changes made in one place are reflected in the other without manual work.

Below is a table of the information that syncs between Members One and Shopify.

CustomersYour customer records are kept in sync, including their club membership, loyalty tier and membership status.
ProductsYour Shopify products are imported into Members One, along with their images, descriptions and inventory, so you can build clubs from your existing catalogue.
Membership DiscountsMember discounts are applied automatically at your Shopify checkout using Shopify Functions, so eligible members always see the right price.
Loyalty TiersA customer's loyalty tier is written to Shopify, keeping their tier consistent across both platforms.
Selling PlansYour subscription clubs are mapped to Shopify selling plans, so recurring orders follow the schedules you have set.
OrdersOrders created by Members One are pushed to Shopify, and orders placed on your store are brought back into Members One.
Managing Your Connection

After connecting, the Shopify card in Integrations > Connections > Ecommerce gives you a few extra controls.

Below is a table of the options available on the Shopify integration card.

ActivateTurns the integration on or off. When switched off, your data stays in Shopify but is no longer updated. You can re-enable it at any time.
Manually Sync DataRuns a sync on demand. You can choose All, Customers, Products, Selling Plans or Metafields. This is useful straight after connecting or any time you want to refresh a specific set of data.
Re-authorizeRe-opens Shopify's authorisation screen to refresh your store's connection. Use this if the connection needs to be renewed.
Storefront PagesControls which pages appear on your Shopify storefront. Your club pages are now hosted on your Members One portal, while options such as Reservations can still be shown on your store.

Note: Your club pages are hosted on your Members One portal rather than your Shopify storefront. You can manage them under Clubs & Subscriptions > Customer Portal.
